South Korea agreed with the United States to resume imports of American beef without bones from late March,according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.

South Korea has complied with a judgment by the Paris-based World Organization for Animal Health,better known as the OIE,that U.S.beef from cattle aged up to 30 months is safe as long as intestines,brains,bones and other materials that could carry disease are properly removed.
한국은 파리에 근거를 둔 국제수역사무국(OIE)의 축산물 국제교역 규정에 따라 내장과 뼈가 제거된 30개월 미만의 미국산 쇠고기를 수입합니다.
The agreement lifts a U.S.beef import ban put in place in December 2003,when an outbreak of mad cow disease was reported in the U.S.
