The Supreme Court cited international law that states that Korea is entitled to try cases related to the nation and the fact that the couple´s residence is registered here in Korea.
재판부는 판결문에서 국제법에 따라, 한국과 실질적 관련이 있고 부부의 거주지가 한국일 경우 재판 관할권이 한국에 있다고 설명했습니다.

According to the Ministry of Finance and Economy,the figure accounts for almost 10 percent of 143.98 trillion won that the government was supposed to collect in its general accounting.
재정경제부에 따르면 미징수 국세는 재정부의 일반 회계 징수 결정액 144조원의 10%에 육박합니다.
Of the amount,the government can still collect 7.2 trillion won,but it has written off the rest - or 6.9 trillion won - as losses.
이중 정부가 거둘 수 있는 세금은 7조 2000억원이지만, 나머지 6조 9000억원은 징수를 포기한 것입니다.
In 2005,the Board of Audit and Inspection ordered the Finance and Economy Ministry to reduce the amount written off as losses,citing equity in taxation.
지난해 감사원은 세 부담 형평성을 고려해 매수 세금을 줄일 것을 재경부에 권고했습니다.
