국가유산청(청장 허민)은 8월 30일 오전 9시 30분부터 메타버스 플랫폼인 ZEP(https://zep.us/play/DvNJlr)에서 국내외 청소년과 대학생 180명을 「2025년 디지털 국가유산 홍보대사」로 선정해 발대식을 개최한다.

사이버 외교사절단 반크(VANK)와 민관협력을 통해 올해로 8기를 맞이하는 「디지털 국가유산 홍보대사」는 한국 문화와 한국 유산에 대한 정보가 잘못 알려지지 않도록 온라인 홍보 콘텐츠를 제작하고 전 세계로 전파하여 우리 유산의 가치를 바르게 알리는 활동을 하게 된다.

선발된 홍보대사들은 오는 9월 30일까지 한 달간 사회관계망서비스(SNS)를 중심으로 ▲ '우리 유산 이름 그대로 쓰기' 캠페인 홍보 콘텐츠 및 국가유산 소개 콘텐츠 제작, ▲ 한국 유산 관련 왜곡정보 시정활동 등 우리 유산 홍보 활동을 온라인으로 수행할 예정이다. 활동 종료 후에는 우수활동자 70명에게 임명장을 수여하며, 연말에는 최우수 활동자 1명을 선정하여 표창장도 수여할 계획이다.

국가유산청은 앞으로도 우리 유산을 바로 알리고 누구나 쉽게 국가유산을 누릴 수 있도록 다양한 적극행정을 추진하여 전 세계에 우리 국가유산의 가치를 확산하고 문화교류 활성화에 기여해 나갈 것이다.

The Korea Heritage Service (Administrator: Huh Min; KHS) will hold a virtual inauguration ceremony on August 30 at 9:30 AM (KST) via the metaverse platform ZEP (https://zep.us/play/DvNJlr), officially launching 180 youth and university students from Korea and abroad as the 2025 Digital K-Heritage Ambassadors.

Now in its 8th cycle, the Digital K-Heritage Ambassador program, conducted in partnership with VANK (Voluntary Agency Network of Korea), aims to promotes accurate global recognition of Korean culture and heritage by producing and distributing online content that counters misinformation.

The selected ambassadors will engage in various activities online through social media platforms until September 30, including:

- Creating promotional content for the Korean Names for Korean Heritage campaign and introducing key items of Korean national heritage;
- Identifying and correcting distorted or inaccurate information related to Korean heritage.

At the conclusion of the one-month term, 70 participants will be awarded formal certificates of appointment, and one top-performing ambassador will be honored with a commendation at the end of the year.

The Korea Heritage Service is committed to promoting initiatives that ensure accurate representation of Korea's heritage and enhance global accessibility to national heritage. Through proactive engagement, KHS aims to elevate the value of Korea's national heritage worldwide and contribute to broader international cultural exchange.
