#1. 출국 신고서 폐지

A more simplified immigration process is scheduled for next month.

내달부터 출국 절차가 간소화 됩니다.

Starting then,domestic travelers and registered foreign residents will not have to fill out immigration forms.

국내 여행객과 한국에서 거주하는 외국인들이 출국할 때 출국신고서를 작성하지 않아도 됩니다.

According to the Ministry of Justice,beginning in August,departing domestic travelers and incoming registered foreigners who arrive by sea or air will be exempt from declaring entry and departure.

법무부는 다음달부터 항공이나 항만으로 출국 및 입국하는 한국인과 외국인 거주자들은 신고서를 작성할 필요가 없다고 밝혔습니다.

However,unregistered foreigners will still be required to go through the immigration process to gain entry and approval.

그러나 한국에 거주 신고를 하지 않은 외국인들은 입국 심사를 받아야 합니다.

For smooth operation,the Justice Ministry plans to start this new system on a trial basis on July 10th at Gimpo Airport.

법무부는 오는 10일부터 김포공항에서 이 제도를 시범적으로 실시할 예정입니다.

#2. 외국인 의사 국내 진료

Foreigners who live in South Korea will be able to get medical treatment from foreign doctors starting in 2007.

내년부터 한국에 사는 외국인들은 외국인 의사에게 진료를 받을 수 있게 됩니다.

The Ministry of Health and Welfare recently issued an advance notice of a revised bill on the issue,saying that it will take effect next March.

보건복지부가 최근 관련 법안을 개정해 내년 3월부터 실행합니다.

Under the bill,foreign doctors who acquired a medical license from abroad will be able to work in South Korea’s general hospitals and treat patients who share the same language or nationality with the doctors.

이 법안에 따르면 외국에서 의사 면허증을 취득한 의사가 한국의 종합병원에서 진료를 할 수 있게 됩니다. 이들은 같은 나라 국민이나 동일 언어를 사용하는 환자들을 치료합니다.

According to the ministry,the bill seeks to ease the language barriers that are suffered by the 720,000 or so foreigners who reside in South Korea.

한국에 거주하는 외국인이나 언어 장벽을 겪는 환자 72만명을 돕기 위해 제정됐습니다.
